Today the NHL released the full schedule for all 32 teams for the upcoming 2022-23 NHL season. That means we now know the date, opponent, and venue for all 82 Seattle Kraken games.

A few interesting notes about the Kraken’s schedule this season:
- The Kraken will open the season on a two-game road trip in Southern California October 12th in Anaheim and October 13th in Los Angeles. Then the Kraken will return to Climate Pledge Arena for their home opener October 15th against the Vegas Golden Knights.
- Seattle will end its regular season with a home-and-home against the Golden Knights April 11th and 13th.
- The Kraken’s longest homestand this season is six games from November 8th-23rd (NSH-MIN-WPG-NYR-LAK-SJS).
- Seattle’s longest road trip is seven games from January 3rd-14th (EDM-TOR-OTT-MTL-BUF-BOS-CHI). It will be the longest road trip in the team’s history (last season’s longest road trip was five games).
- Due to the way the schedule math works out, each team plays one less game against a pair of division opponents. The Kraken will only play three games against the Sharks and Flames this season, while playing four against each of their other division opponents.
- Seattle will have eight back-to-backs this season. Five on the road, two split, and one at home. The Kraken’s eight back-to-backs is the second-fewest in the NHL. The only team with fewer back-to-backs is the Golden Knights (7).
- The Kraken will have a busy end to their regular season. They’re scheduled to play eight games in the final 13 days of the regular season.
- Seattle will have 10 games in October, 12 in November, 12 in December, 15 in January, 11 in February, 14 in March, and 8 in April.
- The Kraken will have mostly Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday games. Thursdays will have the most games (20), while Wednesdays will have the fewest (5).
- Unfortunately, the Kraken will only have two 1:00PM starts all season. Monday 1/16 vs. TBL and Saturday 3/18 vs. EDM. With the good atmosphere and family-friendly timing of last season’s matinee games, many fans were hoping for more this year.
